I have just got up & must write a time before business begins- I do want to see you so much my own wife Are you real well & smart? I went over to call on Cols Stevens & Bowers yesterday- they are in this Div. a mile or two fr here. Had a very pleasant call. Col Stevens has a house in his camp & is going to get his wife over if he is not moved away soon. We are ordered to go to preparing huts, but I have had

no time to attend to it yet. We have just been changing our arms. McClellan it seems is rumored at last. Well I hope the change will effect something. It is dreadful cold sleeping alone after being at home so long. What a good time I had wile at home. Do you remember when we first went to the hotel at B. I felt so well there, but I feel now as well & better than that night, all the time. Am as fat as a pig. Shall be as heavy as I was last winter I think. But my hair continues to come out, I dont know but I shall have it cut off close. Have you ever seen

Athertons first leader - good I think. O. darling I do want to see you so much, & hold you in my arms. Should have two to hold now, how do you like it. I do hope you wont be very sick & suffer as some do. I should be glad if it were not for your suffering so much & myself away. Do be careful my own wife, & keep as well as possible.
