I have just received orders to go on again "Div Officer of the day" for tomorrow (Sunday) and as I shall not have a chance to write you my usual good long Sunday letter I thought I would just drop you a line to night, to keep your spirits up until Monday when if I am not to sleepy will try to write you a good letter. there is not the first word of news to write, for all remains as usual. boys all well and I am well. what can I say now? Aint that good news enough? unless I could tell you the war was over and I was coming home soon, which I am sorry to say I cant just now. It fill the army with joy to learn of our success at Charleston. The health of the Regt. is improving very much. Are having cool nights.
