nothing but one continual ovation and when we down to

pleasure there was about 5 thousand people to see us and The fireman there gave us a
good treat and from there we went to Hartford and there we had
a good Time I tell you and from there we went to New Haven it dark we
did not have such a good time as in some other places but there was a Great number of
folks to see us although it dark and from
there we went to Jersey City and there we about 4 or 5 hours and
from there we went to Philadelphia and when we reached there I cant
the that was shown to our soldiers there
when we
got there and got of from the cares one of we marched up on to Washington Street and
when we got there a nice supper was waiting for us and I never see such a crowd of
Ladies and Gentleman to take [ ] us
by the hand and with tears in eyes bid us god speed
we in that city all night and our cares was all
most with the crowd and we left there the people said that they
wished could there longer I shall always remember that city as long
as I live and from there we went to Baltimore and a more quite a place I never see we
