Katherine Fletcher to Henrietta Fletcher, 1887 May 19
Primary tabs
I received yours with, gratitude this noon. Have paid Mrs. Tracy.
I thought I had got my dress decided on, but do not know now as I will take it. If I can get some thing prettier for the same money I shall do it.
Am going out to look again to-night.
I have rehearsed my piece now for some time, but I am not suited with it. Would
you like to know why? It is just this. I am afraid papa would not like it, for
it is so humerous, I am fearful he would think that the others were perhaps
nicer than mine. But it is harder to take most witty pieces than the
sober. Mrs S. was bound I should I should take it & she ought
to know. If nothing happens I shall be home the Fri. night before Declaration
Day, as we have Mon. & I shall see about my dress being made then.
Am thankfull I can have my pictures.
LovinglyKate.
Why don't Carrie write to me?
