Papa, Ray, & I, have just returned home, have been up to Grandpa's, found them well, left Rhett and Carrie alone; they went to Sabbath School and managed to pass away the day, it will be too much of an undertaking for us to leave them alone to go to the lectures so dont expect us; and besides it is to muddy to go so far and be oblidge to come back the same night, which we should have to do if we went. Nora Buker is sick with Canker rash. Charlie Holmes had a counsil of Dr's yesterday they

decided that he cant live. we have thought it over and have decided that it is not best for you to go home with Bertie; but will get you there some cheaper way, for money is scarce just at presant, will try and get some for Mrs Tracy soon. papa thinks he will take the butter and go to Burlington before many days.
