Carrie Fletcher to Katherine Fletcher Kate,
I am sorry to disappoint you if you were planning to come down to night, but as mother is going to bake some for me to morrow she thought she would come down this evening and stay all night so I had rather if you just as [soon] wait until tomorrow night, or next week I presume I shall be then so if you had rather come next week you can.
with love
in hasteCarrie.
