I will write you a line that you may hear from us to day: intended to have
written yesterday but had company all day. Miss Hazen &
came in the forenoon and stayed untill after supper; papa hired her for the
winter term; I thought queere Miss Barton did not even invite them to visit her
school; she (Ida) remains over the sabbath this week
did not say any thing about changing her boarding place untill Wednesday when
she ventured to speak; papa told her he had engaged board for her if she wished
to change at Mr [Steinhours] but this did not suit preferes to
remain here altho the reason she gave was the boys were a
little noisy I told her I had forbidden their going into
her room and we do not allow them to hardly speak at the table Elsie is doing up
the washing to day preparing to going to houskeeping to morrow I shall try alone
altho my limbs are not as strong as I wished they were baby is well and just as
good as ever is assleep now
Ida joined the templars last night papa will not drive cattle for two weeks loaded a car yesterday good bye
