The children have all gone to bed so I will write a word and put in a dollar I
intended when I wrote you last to have rode up and seen you last Sabbath but it
was such a rainy day I dare not start out if it is as cold with you as it is
here you need a fire and dont you sit in a cold room papa says we were not to
furnish fuel only the last half of the term and do you have a fire I dont know what papa thinks about the
cole he was talking
with H Griswold about it to day but I do not know
what he decided probaly wont make much difference he is out to the barn husking
Corn if it remains cold will try and send your clock by Newcomb dont look for me
for I may not come up for the presant for last sabbath was the day I intended
going Carrie got your letter last night and wanted to answer it to day but I
told her she better wait a little while, take good care of yourself, wear
clothes enough to keep warm and if you want another
woolen skirt I will send it
