December 9, 1919.
Mrs. Annette W. Parmelee,
Enosburg Falls, Vermont.
My dear Mrs. Parmelee,-
Your letter in regard to the admission
of women to the University of Vermont College of Medicine would
properly be referred to Dr, H. C. Tinkham who is dean of the
Medical College and I have talked with Dr, Tinkham over the
'phone and he asks me to reply directly to you.
Dr. Tinkham tells me that women have never been
admitted to the College of Medicine, and that practically no
requests for such admission have been received. However, the
matter is at the present time under consideration by the Council
of the University and may at some time in the future come up for
action. If you desire any further information on this subject,
I am sure Dr. Tinkham will be glad to write you.
Yours very truly,
Chas F Dalton
