After waiting with the wounded at Burkittsville till Saturday for the Sur- geon to send back a boy. with directions on finding the regiment I started out. but not being very very successful in learning where they were going, I concluded to stop over sabbath here in Pleasant Valley with a good family – I [p]reached for the United Bretheren yesterday and go back to Burkittsville this morning.
