Dear Mr Norton

We were very sorry not to find yourself & family at home the other day, as Mrs Marsh & myself had hoped both to enjoy a visit at your villa, and to make an arrangement for seeing you soon at our own.

Mrs Marsh has at last got her establishment in working order, and I hope her strength--of which however she has had little to boast for the past three or four weeks--may enable her to participate more freely than heretofore in the social life of Florence.

We propose to ask a few friends to dine with us, quite informally, on Tuesday next (Jany 11') at six o'clock, and shall be extremely happy to see as many of you, on that occasion, as can

make it convenient to join us.

Will you do me the favor to let me know whether we may hope to see you, and how many of your party we may expect.

Begging you to present Mrs Marsh's kind regards, as well as my own, to the ladies of your family I am most truly yoursGeo P MarshC E Norton esq
