My dear Mrs. Marsh
I shall send to you tomorrow, by post, a registered packet of Mr. Marsh's letters to
me. I am sure that Dr. Brown will find many of them of interest, and I hope that
some of them may be of use to him. The variety of Mr. Marsh's powers was as
exceptional as their strength; and it would only be by bringing together his letters

to many
correspondents that the full range and excellence of his vast intelligence,
& the elevation and simplicity of his character could be exhibited as one
would desire.
I trust that you are enjoying this beautiful autumn weather, and I am, with true respect & regard,Sincerely YoursC. E. Norton.
