Sharon July 30 1837Dear Sister

it is with pleasure that I now embrace the opportunity of writing a few lines to you to inform you of my health which is verry good at present and hope these few lines will find you enjoying the same blessing I would inform you that Sister Lydia is here to work at Col Burbank a doing house work she has been here about three weeks she has five shillings per week her health is verry good she sends her love to you and the rest of our friends Brother Zebina and family were well the last that we heard from them which was last I saw him at commencement Brother S has not wrote to me for this some time he was well the last time that he did Uncle Isaac Shepard & wife were past here yesterday they and family were well it is a general time of health here at this time & I have no news to write to you that is of any importance

give my love to Mother and Clark and Susan and Mary & Lyman & Cornelius likewise to Carseldana & Verona and to all enquiring friends I wish you to tell me how Mother likes living at Clark's as I suppose that you have been there by what you wrote to me in your last letter Brother Shepard talks of selling his farm to the Thomas boys for four hundred and twelve dollars this fall if you have been to Craftsbury please to write to me how Mother fares and whether they are good to her or not and likewise how Susan health is and how her arm is and how they are a getting along and whether Clark is contented with his farm or not give my repects to Mr & Mrs Andrews and all the rest of the old neighbours and friends likewise to Esq. Fletchers family I do not suppose that you will be likely to see Andrew verry soon so it will not be of any use to send my

compliments to him but you may write to him that I did if you please please write on the reception of this if you have seen H please inform what she said when you presented her my compliments and whether she is married or not any thing else that you think proper I do not think of any thing else that would be of any interest to you so I will draw to a close by subscribing myself
