This view was taken from the roof of the transformer building just westerly of the new location of the metal hangar. Note the truck dumping filling in the foreground, also the bulldozer leveling filling and 2 ton tandem roller compacting filling inside of walls.

Show moreThis view shows the Asphalt Plant with the additional wings erected for the purpose of manufacturing the reinforced concrete sewer pipe for the North End Sewer. The long wing at the right has a platform through the center from which the concrete is poured from two wheeled buggies into the steel form placed on both sides. The wing at the left is the curing room where the tile were stored for a period of forty-eight hours before being taken onto the job. Both buildings were equipped with steam heat.
