The Executive Director, a new position at SpeakOut, will report to a volun- teer Board of Directors. Responsibilities: Directs and man- ages the Speakout office, includ- ing supervision and evaluation of staff, interns, and volunteers. Administers ongoing programs in support of the organization's mis- sion, including outreach and scheduling of speaking engage- ments, the Fall Forum speaker training, and the Governor’s Commission Youth SpeakOut Project. Works closely with the Board of Directors and Treasurer to develop and manage the approximately $100,000 annual budget. Monitors and manages the organization’s fiscal affairs, includ- ing cash flow, bookkeeping, pay- roll, and all local, state and federal tax regulations and other financial obligations. Devises organizational development strategy, including grant writing, corporate sponsor- ship, and fund-raising campaigns and events. Designs and imple- ments an external relations strate- gy to strengthen SpeakOut’s iden- tity and visibility in the media and community at large.
