, Anouncement September 1992 The Joining ceremony took place in a pri- vate suite in the Inn at Essex. Giita Clark officiated the ceremony. The couple, in the company of family and friends, exchanged rings and vows. The ceremony included the fighting of candles and the singing of Crazy Love, a song written by a friend, Vicky Penn. A reception and dinner at the Inn at Essex followed, after which Karin and Wendy left for ten days in Provincetown. September 1 st for the October issue). On July 16, 1992, Alissa Bunch and Mary Baker were joined in a Union cer- emony by Valerie White, a Humanist Minister with the American Humanist As- sociation. The ceremony was performed in a leafy glade on the Stowe recreation path. Mary wore a traditional tuxedo, while Alissa wore a bridal gown. The two pledged their love, shared vows, and ex- changed rings. The minister, in her blue robes, concluded with; “By the authority vested in me by the Humanist Society of Friends, I hereby recognize and declare the union of Mary and Alissa. Go in peace, and may your love increase with each passing day. So be it.” Moira and Mary Jean joyfully announce their first armiversary. They were married on October 12, 1991, in a small chapel on Mary Baker (Tux) Alissa Bunch (gown) Valerie White (minister) the Maine coast. They celebrate in spirit with all their friends and family members. On August 22, 1992, Dot Brauer and Anita Long celebrated a renewal of their ten year commitment to one another with a joining ceremony on top of Mount Philo. The couple was surrounded by both their families and many friends. The ceremony was a composite of poetry, songs, and words written by friends. A Justice of the Peace performed the ceremony and Dot and Anita exchanged rings. A day of vol- leyball and celebration followed. The couple then spent a few days at Groton State Park. On August 15, 1992, Karin Eade and Wendy Beiner were married. Karin works at both Burlington College and Outright Vermont, while Wendy works for Ver- mont Legal Aid.
