Says “Maybe” to
In the Life

When contacted at his office on August
25th, Vermont ETV Program Director
Ken Schwab was only able to say that
“may ” In the Life will be scheduled
this fall for airing on Vermont’s Public
television channel. Mr. Schwab had
been provided by PBS with information
about the pilot for this variety hour pro-
gram focused on the gay and lesbian
community but had not received any ad-
ditional information since then.

The pilot, hosted by lesbian comedian
Kate Clinton, was offered to PBS affili-
ates during June and July. The pilot was
not aired by Vermont-ETV. Produced in
New York‘ by gay film. maker John
Scagliotti, In the Life is funded by in-
dividuals, not PBS or it’s usual stable of
corporations.
