OUTRIGHT Sponsors Logo Contest OUTRIGHT VERMONT, an organi- zation providing services for 1/g/b youth in Vermont, announces a logo contest to gen- erate a design for out T-shirt. One of our themes is "You Are Not Alone," and we thought that this could be part of the T-shirt design. However, we are open to other ideas and suggestions. We are asking young people also to submit de- signs. The winning logo will be chosen by a committee of young people involved with the organization. Designs can be elaborate or simple. These T-shirts will be available for pur- chase at Gay Pride Day this June, through OUTRIGHT, and at other events spon- sored by OUTRIGHT. The winner of the contest can choose to remain anonymous. Our grand prize for the winning logo is a free T-shirt and $20.00 gift certificate from Dinner to Go in Burlington. Please submit designs no later than May 27, 1991. If you have any questions, contact OUT- RIGHT at 865-9677 and/or send designs to P.O. Box 5235, Burlington, VT 05402. Lesbian Educators‘ Group Forms April 14th was the initial meeting of Vermont's first (as far as we know) lesbian educators’ network and support group. Those present shared what it is like to be a lesbian in a public school setting. They discovered the degree to which each of them was "out" in school and offered sup- port for the individual decisions each per- son makes. The women expressed their feelings of isolation and of apprehension at the risks involved in working in this setting. Sharing their stories was a powerful expe- rience and one we hope will strengthen our connections. They plan to reconvene on Sunday, May 19th from 3-5 p.m. at the home of one of the members and invite you to join them. For information and location call Karen at 865-2824 (if you leave your name and number, she'll get back to you.)
