Fireside Chat: AIDS IN THE GAY
COMMUNITY PANEL DISCUSSION.

AIDS is not a gay disease. However, the majority
of people with AIDS in the U.S. are gay men, a
fact that has serious implications for the gay and
lesbian community. In this presentation, panelists
will draw on their own experiences as people
whose lives have been changed by AIDS. They
are confronting it on nearly every level: surviving
the loss of loved ones, dealing with their own
HIV status, facing intense discrimination, con-
fronting bigotry, and being political activists.
Their personal stories will be followed by a
dialogue with audience members.
