Letter to the Editor:'

A word of thanks

I was thrilled to read that Senator James Jeffords has finally
decided to become a co-sponsor of the federal bill prohibiting
discrimination against gays and lesbians in the workplace.
Vermont now has all of its Washington delegation as
co-sponsors. (How many other states can boast this?!?)

I am sure this would not have been possible without the diligent
and difficult work of one of your frequent writers, Paul Olsen. I
know Paul has been tirelessly working toward Jefford’s signing
of the bill, and he can be proud that his hard work has paid off.
All gay, lesbian, and bisexual Vermonters should be thankful
that one of our own was willing to take up the fight for equality
for everyone. Thank you Paul, and congratulations!
