March 30, 1993 To Whom it May Concern, Make a difference! The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) Pen-Pal Project is looking for men and women interested in cor- responding with gays and lesbians in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Make gay and lesbian friends in foreign lands, check out other peoples and cultures, and help build rainbow bridges of solidarity. Let’s piece together a quilt of pink veils on the rubble of the Iron Curtain. To join us, send a brief descrpition of yourself and who you would like as a pen-pal to: IGLHRC Pen-Pal Project, 520 Castro Street, San Francisco, CA, 94114 Dear Editor, I am responding to Paul Olsen’s Outing in the Mountains. “Ethically”, “outists” jus- tify their actions by arguing that the ex- posure of fraud outweighs the potential harm to the indvidual. What presumption! How a lesbian, gay, or bisexual wishes to struggle with their sex- uality is a totally personal matter. To bully a person into coming out is like pushing someone off a diving board when it is known they can’t swim. Sexuality is a deep and delicate matter, to be treated with gentleness. Sincerely, Ann Stokea W. Chesterfield, NH To the Editor, For some time I have been interested in establishing a Vermont chapter of the NEA Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual Caucus. Sev- eral of you share that interest. I would like to meet briefly with interested par- ties, following the May I equity work- shop at the Comfort Inn in Barre to dis- cuss formation of such a chapter. I will have NEA bi-laws, guidelines, and mem- bership forms available. If you can not at- tend the May lst meeting, feel free to call me at 436-2038. Sincerely, Barbara Barbour Hartland, VT V May 1993 WE MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU. 0 Prolessional design & typesetting 0 Hi-res laser & color output 0 OCR & color scanning, tile conversions 0 Mac/ PC workstation rentals 0 Mac sollware training & support DESKTOP PUBLISHING 0 Friendly, prolessionol service ‘ DESIGN, TRAINING & SUPPORT SERVICES H ron THE MAGINTOSII 187 St. Paul Street, Burlington 8634884 AIDS HOTLINES: ' Vermont 1-800-882-2437 New Hampshire 1-800-752-2437 New York State 1-800-541-2437 Massachusetts 1-617-522-4090 Maine 1-800-851-2437 National 1-800-342-2437 Canadian 1-613-563-2437 AIDS Community Awareness Project (ACAP) PO Box 608 St. Johnsbury VT 05819 (802) 748-1149 AIDS Community Resource Network (ACoRN) PO Box 2057 Lebanon NH 03766 (503) 448-2220 Bennington Area AIDS Project PO Box 1066 Bennington VT 05201 (802)442-4481 or 1-800-845-2437 ; Health Resource Organizations Brattleboro AIDS Project 67 Main Street Brattleboro VT 05302 (802) 254-4444 (Helpline) (802) 254-8263 (Office) Franklin-Grand Isle AIDS Task Force 8 Ferris Street St. Albans VT 05478 - (802)524-7742 1-800-638-7834 Gay/Lesbian Alcoholics Anonymous GLAA, P.O.
