ens! Obituaries Christopher J. Reed Chris Reed, 32, died of complications from AIDS on January 9 , 1993. Chris was raised in Williston, VT, graduated from Champlain Valley Union High School and attended Washington University in St. Louis, MO. From 1985 to 1992 he worked as the “Pretzel Man” on the Church Street Marketplace. He sewed as a board member of Vermont C.A.R.E.S. and also worked with the Church SL marketplace commission. Chris is survived by his parents, Richard Reed and Diana Farrell; four siblings, Rick, Bruce, Ca- thy, and Tom; one niece and five nephews. A memorial service was held at the Unitarian Church in Burlington. Gamsby, 49, died of AIDS at her mother’s home in Su- napee, NH January 11, 1993. In the fall of 1992 she received the annual William Newman Award for AIDS education from Positive Action for her work as a public speaker. Survivors include her mother, Florence Garnsby of Sunapee; her sister Dawn Chamberlain of London; and a nephew. A memori- al service will be held in Concord, NH in the spring.
