Incidents included ver- bal harassment, intimidation, assault, police abuse, vandalism, arson, bomb threats and murder. The reported violence was perpetrated by lone individuals, gangs and organized hate groups, and occurred in a variety of settings—on the street, in school, on campus, in jail and prison, and even in the home. Gays Sue NYNEX New York,N.Y., June 15, 1988 ...Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. has filed a discrimination complaint against NYNEX, the telephone company serving New York State and New England, for refusing a request to establish a “Gay and Lesbian Organizations” listing in the New York City Yellow Pages. Marine appeal upheld Tacoma, WA...On February 10, 1988, a San Francisco court ruled in favor of Perry Watkins in the case of SSG Perry J. Watkins vstheU.S. Army.
