5. Govemor’s Medical Ethics Com-
mission. Concern has been expressed to
Governor Kunin that there is no representa-
tion from the lesbian and gay community,
and poor representation of women in gen-
eral, on the Commission although issues
specific to the community are agenda
items. A list was submitted to the Governor
of possible candidates for addition to the
Commission.

Governor Kunin has acknowledged
receipt of our concern and forwarded it, and
the list of candidates, to Commission
Chairperson C. Wenneberg. At this time
Ms. Wenneberg has not acknowledged this
concern, nor has she made any effort to
return messages or calls.

This concern will be restated to Gover-
nor Kunin in the next liaison report along
with our disappointment with Chairperson
Wennberg’s lack of response. The liaisons
will also investigate other avenues of input
to the Commission.

In addition to specific Coaltion busi-
ness both liaisons will continue to advocate
for the interests of the lesbian and gay
community in our other activities; Heather
as a Commissioner on the Govemor’s
Commission on the Status of Women and
the joint Department of Education and
Health’s Task Force developing A.I.D.S.
curriculum, and Keith as a member of the
Agency of Human Services and Depart-
ment of Health A.I.D.S. Task force and the
Department of Health’s Citizen Review
Panel.

If there are concerns people would like
relayed to Governor Kunin in our bi-
monthly reports or more information on
activities, please do not hesitate to contact
either liaison. It is only through continued
input from the community tht we can truly
represent and advocate concerns and
needs. To the existing underground net-
work of information and gentle coaxing,
we give an appreciative thank you.
