Youth Pride 4 on the March! BY KIMBERLY PUGH or every Youth Pride in the Fpast there has been a march. So. of course we are going to hold up the tradition this year. The only difference is this year we hope to hold up traffic. By that I mean we want to march in the streets. By doing this we will get more atten- tion and that’s exactly what every proud queer youth wants. Last year I went to Boston Youth Pride with Kate, Llu and a few other people from ’ Outright. It was an amazing experi- ence, but what amazed me the most was the march. There were over a thousand queer and allied youth marching through the streets of Boston. On the sidewalks were many older allies and queer sup- porters. The noise that we generated as a whole was unbelievable. The streets were ours and the day was ours to show our pride. I want our march in Burlington to be almost the same. It" won’t be as large but hopefully we will make a lot of noise and stop traffic. The thing_that would make this year’s Youth Pride more memo- rable would be to have supporters on the sidewalks holding signs, waving rainbow banners or just making a lot of noise. So, I invite everyone who supports queer youth to come to our Youth Pride march. V Kimberly Pugh is an Outright Youth who was instrumental in the plan- ning of Youth Pride last year. She was also a youth notary, registering a huge number of her peers to vote. 77/26 film ljijuovb hllcl\€:rvlure'.S Foxly E’: Ha/Y}_ by uh/lick rfccout'- 7 llflxyt, I‘m Catlin} \ o. sun Change, ( . ws.+?a.+ W l a 5314/‘? .1 9 amen. was tum A‘\‘ «A. ymxh Mun RA»: 9/ Ygg I mm a Man “am. 13.} am 9.
