ent a holiday coffee house on
December 6th from 7:00 - 10:00pm.

Queer Family" Friendly
We like to say that R.U.1.2? is your

community center. and we at
R.U.1.2? are committed to making
your community center a multi-gen-
erational space welcoming to queer
people of all ages. During the com-
munity focus groups conducted this
summer, we identified the need for
more programming for LGBT fami-
lies and their children. We'd like to
let you know about what we already
have planned and also ask you for
your input for future programming.
Starting in December, two
new groups designed to offer sup-

port and fellowship to parents and
families will be meeting at the cen-
ter:

Starting December 4,
there will be a support group meet-
ing on the first Thursday of every
month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm open to
all parents and families. This group
will be co-sponsored and co—faci|i-
tated by Vermont Federation of
Families, an organization that offers
support to families and parents of
children with emotional challenges
and mental illnesses.

Starting December 18,
there will be a support group meet-

ing on the third Thursday of every
month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm that will
be specifically focused on LGBT
parents and families and the issues
and challenges they face. We are
interested in involving an LBGT par-

. ent or family caregiver to co-faci|i-

tate this group. If you would like to
take on a facilitative role, please
