Safespace Growth, ‘ Healing and Lau hter The past couple months ave been an exciting time of growth for Safespacel We have welcomed in seven new volunteers who have completed over 25 hours of our first joint volunteer training with Women , Helping Battered Women and Women’s Rape Crisis Center. They are already actively working in our office and on our committees and have been doing a great job! We also welcomed Ashley Warren, our new intern, into the office. Ashley is a senior at UVM and a candidate for the Bachelor of Social Work degree. She has jumped right in and is excit- ed to be joining us at Safespacel . In October, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, ‘ Safespace expanded its Support Line hours. Due to increased use, - we are continuing these hours. The Support Line is staffed 10-6pm Monday through Friday, with extend- ed hours from 9am-9pm on Monday and Thursday. , A ‘ We are also excited to announce our annual benefit, Healing Laughter, an evening of queer comedy. Audience members will sample sumptuous.desserts and coffees, with an available cash bar, while being entertained by the comedic acts of Jason P. Lorber and Jane Holdman.
