Vermont caresswings

' Vermont Cares swings into March

with a swing dance, dessert recep-
tion and live and silent auction on
March 8 (lntematlonal Women's
Day). The gathering will be held at
the inn at Essex (7 - 11 pm) and a
seat at the table (or a space on the
dance floor) costs $15 per person
(or ten tickets for $120). Don't know
how to swing - dance, that is? Not
to worry! You can pick up a lesson
that night from Brandy Anderson
and Rebecca Guy. All proceeds
benefit the HlV/AIDS prevention
and support programs of Vermont
Cares, of course. »

“Don't Eat Your Heart Out" is a won-
derful opportunity for people to cele-
brate together and to benefitthe

AIDS Project of Southern Vennont.‘ "

Thanks to many area’ restaurants,
this is an occasion for fun, food and

-philanthropy. “Don't Eat Your Heart

Out" just asks you to have a good
time!

Here’s how it works: on
Friday, February 14, grab your
sweetheart or get a group of friends
together and invite them to join you
for a festive meal at a participating
restaurant. in turn, participating
restaurants will donate a percent-

age of their proceeds to the AIDS
Project. You and the restaurants are
working together to support the
wonderful sense of community that

symbolizes the AIDS Project. It's

that simple — eat out and help out!

Writing Workshop

Samara Foundation is pleased to
announce its sixth annual grantmak-
ing cycle. Samara's 2003 grant
applications start with a Letter of
