Safespace is a social change and social service organization working to end physical, sexual, and emotional violence in the lives
of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) people. We provide information, support, referrals, and
advocacy to LGBTQQ survivors of violence and offer education and outreach programs in the wider community.

anti-discrimination law, the inclusion of gender identity in the hate crimes law, the first civil union law — to
name a few of our accomplishments. Now is the time for a new name to meet the new challenges in an un-

certain time. It’s time for a change!

The contest involves submitting a name you believe will best serve the organization. The board will make
