Description: Photograph dated June 30, 1942. Original captions reads: Marble Ave. Street Improvement Construction - pavement construction - looking westerly from Hayward St. This view shows stone base ready to receive asphalt penetration. This base is approximately 2 inches in depth over an 8 inch telfold stone base placed on a 6 inch sand cushion. A new 24 inch sewer main was constructed on this block during the latter part of the year 1941.
