Description: June 30, 1942. Hayward Street Improvements looking southerly from the intersection of Marble Avenue. This view shows the pavement construction after the stone base had been penetrated with Asphalt Binder. A wearing course of Asphalt penetration macadam will be constructed on this base later in the season after the Curbs and Gutters have been reset or replaced with new where necessary.
