About the CDI
Metadata Standards
Metadata is necessary for the long term long term preservation and interoperability of digital objects. The Center for Digital Initiatives is committed to the creation of high quality metadata that adheres to national and international standards. Metadata formats are selected based on the format that is most appropriate for the materials being described.
